Some so called experts like Dr. Gundry propose to eat as a vegetarian and to not eat meat, saturated fat, and fruit (boot the fruit as he says). He is a lunatic. On the other end of the spectrum, carnivores propose to not eat fruits and vegetables. This is lunacy as well. Alternating Diet and Fitness recommends an omnivore diet with meat and dairy (for those that don't have dairy processing issues) to attain approximately 0.7-1 g/lb. of body weight (non fasting days) of protein from natural sources (no protein supplements) and around 24-35 grams of fiber each day. For cholesterol hypo responders Alternating Diet and Fitness recommends approximately 5-20% of calories from saturated fat (butter, cheese, meat, animal sources). For cholesterol moderate responders 5-10% of calories from saturated fat. For cholesterol hyper responders Alternating Diet and Fitness recommends 5-7% of calories from saturated fat by eating lean meats, low fat dairy, limiting butter  and cheese. To display the effectiveness of the Alternating Diet and Fitness plan, Gar Hoover's blood test results are attached. The blood pressure, resting heart rate, iron, lipids, testosterone (Total less than 200, LDL less than 100, HDL above 45), and uric acid levels all show good results. At the time of the tests, Gar Hoover was an all natural 205 lb., 55 year old man, cholesterol hypo responder, and eats about 0.7-1 gram of protein/lb. of body weight (non fasting days) from meat and dairy (mostly fermented) with 5-20% of calories from saturated fat, and approximately 30 grams of fiber each day. Hoover does not use Protein supplements. Hoover eats about  3 servings of fruits and 5 servings of vegetables almost everyday. and follows the Alternating Diet and Fitness System. Alternating Diet and Fitness recommends working with your doctor to determine if you are a cholesterol moderate, hypo, or hyper responder., and salt sensitive to determine restrictions in your diet.
